Ran Nee Lae

Ran Nee Lae (ร้านนี้แหละ) is a pixel-art Thai restaurant simulation submitted by sakudone.studio, designed to keep a small shop at the edge of your desktop while you do other things. Its story follows Auntie rebuilding her life after the cafeteria closes, with an old rooster bowl connecting her to a fresh start in a small soi.

A small shop alongside your day

The developer describes a frameless desktop strip whose menu appears when the pointer approaches and whose position can be moved. Game time follows the real clock, giving the shop a different nighttime atmosphere. The idea is to check in occasionally rather than always dedicate a full screen to it.

Build up from an empty plot

According to the developer, progress begins with scavenging and selling, then moves through a cart and stall towards a restaurant. Systems include growing vegetables, keeping hens and cooking manually or letting Auntie handle it. Regular customers also have stories that unfold over real days.

Test build 0.1.5

The 0.1.5 release notes, published on 30 October 2026, introduce Auntie’s return-to-game stories, small daily requests and opening hours for locations, including a morning market from 05:00 to 11:00. These are developer-described changes, not a claim that every event has been played.

The 0.1.5 session progressed through the introduction and tutorial into the animated shop scene, and opened settings and Auntie’s rented room. While she was asleep, a food-serving or shop-building loop could not be verified. The unchanged game pack ran through Godot 4.7.2 on Linux rather than the Windows executable, with some malformed symbol glyphs. This does not establish the quality of the Windows overlay or a defect in the Windows release.
