Verdelune Online

By Santisak

A 2D browser fantasy RPG focused on fighting monsters, collecting items, and quests, with Auto combat assistance and a fairly crowded interface.

Verdelune Online is a 2D fantasy RPG played in a web browser. Early gameplay focuses on battling monsters, collecting items, and completing quests to gain experience points and Silver currency. The visuals feature small characters in a vibrant fantasy city, with a chat window positioned beside the scene. Those familiar with online leveling games will find this format easy to understand.

Level-based game controls and screen

Control keys let the character explore and attack. Skills and potion buttons sit at the bottom, with a minimap, quests, and chat around the screen. A step-by-step tutorial introduces attacks and recovery without a separate manual. The many icons and information panels take some time to learn.

Auto System and Character Care

The Auto system helps reduce repeated attack inputs while fighting monsters in the first test mission. The character continues fighting until the mission goal is complete and items drop. What needs attention is HP and MP, which decrease during that fight, so energy recovery still requires care even with the auto-combat system enabled.

GameSlash fights monsters with Auto active, showing damage numbers, HP 69/100, MP 10/50, and announces first quest completed.

Mission is a target for leveling up.

The mission screen clearly states the number of monsters to be eliminated and the rewards. Upon completion, a separate button to claim rewards appears. The first mission grants EXP, Silver, and medicine, while subsequent missions have level requirements, indicating that character development is tied to both combat and quest completion.

The first adventure mission screen shows completing 8/8 tiny dragon elimination tasks, with a claim rewards button before pressing to claim.

Suitable for those who enjoy leveling up and collecting items.

The early game's appeal lies in having objectives to pursue, including items dropped by monsters and quest rewards, along with an Auto feature to reduce repetitive tapping. One thing to know before starting is that the screen is quite cluttered, and there are character resources to monitor. This opinion is based on the early game and the first quest.
