SKILL OF PWY

By PWY

An auto-battler game focused on skill selection and build progression, advancing through each floor to receive new options, including upgrading existing abilities or adding skills to the character.

SKILL OF PWY is an auto-battler where players combine skills into a build to climb a tower. Characters face enemies in a 2D scene and attack and use skills automatically. Players choose abilities that work together and decide what to improve after clearing each floor.

Knight GameSlash auto-fights Rock Beetle in the first dungeon, featuring Shield Stance and Gale Drain abilities below the screen.
The combat screen displays the health and status of both parties, while equipped skills are arranged below the scene.

Clear a floor, then choose how to develop your build

At the start of the trial with the Knight class, there is both a Shield Stance, which is a class ability, and a slot for additional skills. After passing the first tier, the game allows you to choose between upgrading existing skills or acquiring new skills.

Skill cards provide fairly detailed explanations of how they work, including whether they are automatic or passive abilities, cooldown times, and additional effects. For example, Gale Drain includes descriptions for both dealing damage and healing, while Flame Lance specifies armor-piercing attacks and burning effects.

Post-first-tier options include Gale Drain, Shield Stance upgrades, and the new Flame Lance skill.
After clearing the first layer, options include upgrading existing skills or acquiring new ones, with descriptions of each card's effects.

View combat to adjust skills

The combat screen displays health points, the status of both parties, and equipped skills beneath the scene, allowing for an overview of the build during battle. Another useful feature is Fight breakdown, which separates damage from normal attacks, skills, and effects into a list with proportions, helping to identify which abilities contributed to the damage dealt in that battle.

Post-level 2 Fight breakdown screen shows damage ratios from normal attacks, skills, and effects.
Fight breakdown separates damage sources in that battle, helping to view installed skill performance.

Suitable for those who like to try out skill sets.

Vertical layout places characters, enemies, and skill slots close together. The part requiring learning time is the English card descriptions and multiple stat values per skill. Those who enjoy reading abilities and matching them up should fit this format. This opinion is based on playing Knight during the early tower climb.
