By Naprom Sumo Phetsarakul
Build homes, provide services and manage traffic as a small starting town grows around its residents’ jobs and needs.
SMCITY is a browser city builder by Naprom Sumo Phetsarakul about housing, jobs and residents’ journeys. The starting town already has roads and buildings. You can add homes and services while checking whether residents have enough jobs and whether the roads can handle the extra traffic.

More homes need jobs and road space
Choose a building category and click an empty area on the map. Before confirmation, the game shows construction cost, maintenance and capacity. A starter house costs 24,000 in-game baht, houses six residents and costs 60 per day to maintain. Building one during our test increased housing capacity from 18 to 24.
The bottom panel separates capacity, usage and unmet demand for housing, jobs, shops and other services. The manual explains that residents need to reach work and services on time; traffic jams or insufficient services can reduce happiness and city income.

During testing, cars travelled along roads and waited at junctions. The traffic-density button adds colour overlays to help locate congestion. Pause and speed controls let you adjust the town at your own pace. This desktop test covered house construction and traffic observation, not long-term progression or mobile play.
