Haunted House Designer

By Omyim Tunbut

Design a haunted house, place scares and watch simulated visitors, then use their reactions to improve the layout and pacing.

Here you design the haunted house rather than flee from its ghosts. Place performers and effects, open the doors and watch simulated visitors move through your layout. The goal is not to fill every tile with monsters, but to time scares so guests enjoy themselves instead of getting bored or running away.

Place scares beside the route, then open the house

Choose an attraction from the catalogue and click a position on the plan. The game displays the visitor route and useful placement spots. Jump-scare actors, haunted dolls, fog, smells and large set pieces have different costs and timings. Side scares help move groups forward, while long empty stretches reduce enjoyment.

Use the report to revise the layout

In the tested Victorian-mansion challenge, 40 simulated guests passed three placed scares, producing 29 screams, grade D and a final score of 1,462. The report flagged empty stretches and performers still resetting, providing reasons to move attractions rather than simply fill every room.

During a run, the CCTV view and guestbook show fear and enjoyment separately. You can pause, accelerate the simulation or skip ahead to the calculated result. These figures describe the tested layout, not an editorial review score; the result was not submitted to the leaderboard.

For players who enjoy testing designs

The tested browser gameplay required no account. Challenge, theme and free modes are available, with Thai and English interfaces. The creator recommends a computer and also says mobile play is supported; this review tested a desktop browser. It suits players interested in route planning and guest reactions rather than directly controlling a character in a horror adventure.
