Soulstack launches: An RPG where you drag cards to craft, fight and evolve 140 pet forms

Released November 5, Soulstack makes nearly every RPG action a card-stacking interaction. It features a free demo, 300+ weapons and AI-assisted music, sound and text.
Soulstack, a card-stacking idle RPG, launched on Steam on November 5, 2026, with a free demo still available. Its distinctive mechanic is simple to explain but unusual for an RPG: the player drags cards onto each other to do almost everything, from exploring and gathering to crafting weapons, fighting, and raising a pet.

Why try it: almost every action happens by stacking cards
The developer sshulin explains on the official Steam page that moving cards together is the core interaction. Players feed cards to a Soulstone, explore locations, collect resources, research recipes, craft weapons and send their character into dungeons through this tabletop interface. For fans of experimentation and resource-management loops, it is a different way to present familiar RPG systems.

The current Steam page advertises more than 300 weapons, 140 pet evolution forms and 48 character classes, including nine cursed classes. Dungeons feature randomized enemy groups, and a later progression loop reshuffles the world. The interest here is in discovering card combinations and interlocking progression systems, not graphical spectacle.
Where does generative AI fit into development?
In Steam's AI Generated Content Disclosure, the developer lists background music, sound effects and text. The disclosure does not claim that AI wrote the code or designed the card system. It would be inaccurate to describe this as a game built from a single prompt; the novel interaction can instead be inspected through the developer's actual game footage.

Availability and a design lesson
Soulstack is available on Windows via Steam, and players can download a free demo. The store includes Thai among its interface languages and lists a launch discount ending November 19, 2026; local prices may vary. This report draws from official store materials and developer footage, not independent gameplay testing.
For game creators, Soulstack is a concrete example of building a deep progression system around one repeated interaction: drag one card onto another. Recipes, pet evolutions and classes broaden that simple loop, while the disclosed AI use supports audio and text production rather than replacing game design.
