Video to Game turns AI video references into a browser-game workflow
By GameSlash
Lovis Odin's open-source skill connects visual references, generated assets and playtests. What AI game creators can learn—and what still needs checking.
Lovis Odin's Video to Game is a coding-agent skill for building Three.js browser games from video references. Its public repository commit is dated 29 October 2026. For AI-assisted creators, its useful lesson is to evaluate visual direction and playable mechanics separately, rather than treating an attractive generated clip as a finished game.
Official repository and workflow
From a visual target to a testable mechanic
The documented process extracts frames, colours and camera cues before defining a core mechanic. Assets are generated through fal, then assembled into a game loop. Side-by-side comparisons check the visual target; recorded playtests are intended to expose practical problems.

What creators still need to check
This is an experimental workflow, not a guarantee of a complete game. The documented target is Three.js/WebGL, not direct Godot, Unity or Unreal export. Development dependencies and a fal key are required; generation can incur charges. The skill calls for original worlds rather than copying commercial characters or levels.
The creator provides a 31-game gallery. GameSlash has not reproduced the pipeline or tested the full collection. For small teams, the transferable idea is to specify one mechanic, compare implementation against the reference, and test before declaring the result complete.
