Sunday Fighter Pilot releases on Steam with AI-written 3D flight-game systems
By GameSlash
The November 3 Steam release shows a 3D flight game whose developer says AI wrote gameplay, aircraft geometry, procedural world and rendering code under human review.
Sunday Fighter Pilot went on sale on Steam on 3 November 2026 at 23:07 UTC (early 4 November in Bangkok). Its creator, nitzan.games LLC, says AI coding tools wrote the systems of this 3D flight sandbox under direct human supervision. A demo is also listed on Steam.

Two styles of flying
The game offers Casual flying for relaxed exploration, stunt challenges and discovering airfields, and Blow stuff up for combat runs against ground targets and aircraft. Its store description specifies a 96-by-96 km continuous world, more than 100 landable airfields and 18 aircraft to unlock with stars. Each of the two play styles saves progress separately.

What AI contributed according to the developer
The developer's Steam disclosure says AI coding tools authored gameplay, aircraft geometry, procedural environments, rendering and UI code, with a human testing, reviewing and editing the results. AI was also used to draft game and store text, compose the soundtrack and produce many sound effects. The creator says the store's gameplay screenshots come from the game itself and no generative model runs during play.
Platforms and limits
Steam lists Windows, macOS and Linux and offers a downloadable demo. This is a real commercial release, not proof that AI could build a finished game without human direction: the developer explicitly reports reviewing the implementation. GameSlash has not independently run or benchmarked the build.
