THANKS, LIGHT. Nears October 14 Launch, Details AI-Assisted Audio and Localization
By GameSlash
Ahead of its October 14 Windows launch, Lightersgames' light-based puzzle game explains its AI-assisted audio and translations, including Thai, and offers a free demo.
Korean indie studio Lightersgames lists 14 October 2026 as the release date for THANKS, LIGHT., a first-person puzzle game built around changing flat silhouettes into solid objects with light. When its official Steam page was checked around midday in Thailand on release day, the full Windows game was still marked as unavailable ahead of its planned unlock; a free demo was listed for download. The store also discloses limited AI assistance in audio finishing and localization.

Puzzles change between flat shadows and solid objects
The central rule is to shine light to give a flat shape volume, or absorb light to flatten it again. The developer gives examples of using a cube to tip a seesaw or to stop a rolling ball; later puzzles can duplicate shapes with mirrors, resize them with lenses, and combine forms. The store describes three chapters and more than 60 stages, with an estimated six or more hours of play. Those are developer descriptions, not GameSlash playtest findings.

What the Steam AI disclosure actually says
In the AI Generated Content Disclosure, Lightersgames says all music and sound effects start from original compositions by its audio director, with some refined using AI audio tools and all outputs reviewed and edited by the team. For localization, Korean, English, Chinese and Japanese were human translation-reviewed, while the other supported languages used AI assistance. The Steam language list includes Thai for interface and subtitles; the disclosure therefore covers Thai among AI-assisted localizations. It does not say the game's puzzle mechanics or gameplay visuals were generated by AI.
Demo available; PC release still pending at the time checked
The storefront lists Windows as its platform, the publisher as Game Source Entertainment, and a free THANKS, LIGHT. demo while the main release remained upcoming at the check. The developer's gameplay screenshots on Steam show representative puzzle rooms, but GameSlash has not independently played or verified the full release build. The product listing gives no user review score yet, so no reception or sales conclusions are warranted.
