Funplay MCP for Unity released version 0.7.5 on November 2, 2026. It records execute_code task receipts before scheduling work in Unity, helping AI agents recover task state after a lost connection without blindly repeating a command.

Funplay is an open-source MCP server connecting coding agents to Unity Editor for scene inspection, file edits, Play Mode and visual checks. This release keeps the existing 40 Core tools and 185 Full tools.

A request key can be used to retrieve an existing task through get_task. Outcomes that cannot be recovered remain explicitly unknown. The mechanism does not guarantee rollback or protect against every case of storage loss.

The update also improves serialization of Unity values, paginates large results and adds timing and error diagnostics. The developer recommends updating Project Skills after installation.
