Game Asset Agent coordinates game art using Claude and palette-aware reviews
By GameSlash
An open-source Game Asset Agent tool combines Claude style guides, sprite and tile checks, image regeneration controls and export packages for Godot or Phaser.

Game Asset Agent is a newly shared open-source project that uses Claude as an art-director agent for game assets. Developers upload visual references, and the app extracts a reusable style guide covering a palette, linework, lighting, viewpoint and proportions to guide subsequent assets.
Generate a set, then review its consistency
According to the repository, it supports ten classes of game art, including characters, sprite sheets, items, tilemaps, UI and effects. Each result is reviewed against the style guide and checked for palette deviations, tile seams and sprite-frame jitter. Problems that can be fixed with deterministic image processing avoid an extra image-model call; other mismatches can be redrawn within a configurable limit.

Approved assets can be exported as ZIP packages with a manifest, Godot 4 SpriteFrames or atlas data compatible with Phaser and PixiJS. A usage and cost budget can limit the number of image generations in each run, reducing the chance of uncontrolled model spending.
The official screenshots show `AGENT_MODE=demo`, with offline placeholder assets rather than real model output. Actual generation requires a configured Claude API key and an image provider such as OpenAI, Gemini Image or Stable Diffusion. GameSlash has reviewed the documentation and example screenshots but has not independently tested generation quality.
