Vivrato VAIA Industry Snapshot

By GameSlash

A survey of 101 studio leaders for understanding AI adoption in game teams, not game-creation software.

What it helps with

Vivrato’s VAIA Industry Snapshot describes where game teams use AI and how deeply they integrate it. It draws on 101 studio-leader interviews in Q2–Q3 2026 and serves as a workflow-planning reference, not game-creation software.

Ways to use it

Read the PDF and methodology from Vivrato, then compare its work categories with your own team’s tasks. It reports production use in at least one stage for 94% of interviews. A separate integration-depth question has 100 responses and a median of 3/10; keep those denominators distinct.

Limitations

The interviewed leaders are not a representative count of the entire games industry, and AI here is broader than generative AI. The figures do not prove which tool will improve your team’s productivity or that 94% of all games are AI-generated.
