Born a Cat: Life as a Stray in Thailand
By ChanomCAT
Live as a stray cat in Thailand, make weekly choices about food, rest and exploration, and balance satiety, health, energy and stress.
Born a Cat is a text-led life simulator built around decisions, with pixel-art scenes presenting the world from a small cat’s perspective. Play advances through weekly events rather than directly steering a character around hazards.
Make a choice, then manage four vital stats
Health, satiety, energy and stress need attention. Events offer choices with different consequences. The survival guide explains that hunger and stress can affect health, while some activities require enough energy. Decisions therefore involve both the cat’s immediate needs and its condition in the following week.
Our opening character was Lovely, a tuxedo cat born at a railway platform in winter. Choosing to curl up against its mother in the first week increased satiety and reduced stress. Satiety fell again when we advanced to the next week, so caring for the cat is an ongoing task rather than a single good decision.

Grow through the small moments of stray-cat life
The following week, we chose to rest on a sun-warmed roof. Week three brought the transition from milk to solid food: eat mackerel or ask for more milk. We chose the fish and saw satiety return to full. These everyday decisions make the kitten’s growth something to follow one step at a time.
The appeal lies in the Thai setting and reading each situation rather than fast button presses. The railway scene, the cat’s appearance and the weekly stories give context to the four status bars. It suits players who enjoy choosing a path gradually and watching the consequences for their character.
