Fadalgia TCG: Solo Mode

By Pattara Safe Watanajirat

Duel Bot Tyra in a card game where cards become mana, Stream must be maintained, and sacrificing Life creates options, before Quick Shooter and Sharpshooter attack.

Fadalgia TCG: Solo Mode by Pattara Safe Watanajirat is a card battle game against bots that separates elemental streams from mana payment for casting. Cards in hand are not solely for deployment to the field; some must be placed as resource sources to enable other cards to play. We tested the solo mode via the website up to turn five, with immediate game entry without account registration.

Place mana and send units to attack

On turn 1, we placed Fire Cavern Minotaur in the Mana Zone, creating a Fire Stream. We then tapped it for mana to cast Quick Shooter at a cost of 1. High Speed let it attack Bot Tyra immediately, reducing the bot's shields from 5 to 4 while Life stayed at 10. The attacking card turned sideways to show its state.

First turn, we place Fire Cavern Minotaur as mana, then cast Quick Shooter, which attacks immediately with High Speed.

Accepting high-cost cards as mana allows starting the game with small units, but one must consider which cards to save for later use. The screen features hands at the bottom edge, a combat arena in the center, and clearly separated shield and life counters for both sides.

Extra draws and restoring Stream cost Life

Upon returning to turn three, the game asks whether to draw additional cards from the Life Deck. We chose to draw and obtained Sharpshooter, reducing the life counter from ten to nine. Then, using the heart button on the face-down mana card, we returned Fire Cavern Minotaur to face-up as Stream again, leaving life at eight. These are two decisions that increase options but consume shared life resources together.

After drawing a Life Deck and losing a Life to return a Stream, the Life counter remains at 8, and a Sharpshooter is added to hand.

We placed Dian Mielne as the second mana, then used two mana to cast Sharpshooter. This newly played card cannot attack immediately, unlike Quick Shooter which has High Speed, so we must wait until our next turn.

Two units combine to apply pressure

On turn 5, Sharpshooter targeted the bot's hero, followed by Quick Shooter. Each attack removed one shield, leaving Bot Tyra with 2 shields and the same 10 Life. Both attacking cards turned sideways, while the two mana cards used earlier lay face-down below the field.

Turn 5: Both units attack the opposing hero once each, reducing the shield from 4 to 2.

The opening turns show the need to consider which cards become mana, when to draw extras, and which units will be ready next turn. Cards look small across the whole board, so names and counters need attention. We have not finished a match or tested blocking attacks with units, deck management, or mobile play.
