Build a base, develop an army and position infantry and tanks for missions, with support skills and stars to earn on each stage.
Frontline Command: Pocket War puts players in command of a base and an army preparing for missions. Manage resources, choose troops and position them before the fighting begins, then use support skills to help while units engage the enemy.
Prepare an army at Northwatch Base
Version 0.34 of the game lists Gold, Supply, Steel and Fuel as resources. Northwatch Base contains an HQ, Tank Factory, Barracks, Armory, Radar and Warehouse. Tap buildings to upgrade them; increasing the base's capacity lets you bring more squads into battle.
The first mission lets players position Rifle Infantry, Assault Infantry, Light Tank and Mortar units. Tap a card and then a green area, or drag the card onto the battlefield. An automatic deployment button offers a quicker start, and squads can still be tapped to move or remove them before battle.
Capture objectives and call in support
Stage 1-1, Outpost, requires players to eliminate the enemy and hold the flag area for three seconds. The mission is lost if the army is wiped out or 180 seconds pass. During combat, the interface shows friendly and enemy unit counts, troop status and capture progress as a percentage.

Air Strike and Barrage require selecting the skill, tapping a target and confirming. Heal and Rally can be activated immediately. Players can also pause or change the speed during combat, giving them time to coordinate support for units in action.

The campaign and its star targets
Syarif Abdullah's post describes a campaign of 49 stages across seven Chapters, with Veterans unlocked by earning three stars on every stage in Normal. The game page shows seven Chapters to choose from; the first, Snow Frontier, has seven areas.
The game should appeal to players who enjoy building a mixed force and gradually developing a base. Collecting stars gives them a reason to try new plans on familiar stages, while automatic deployment lets them start the first mission without placing every squad themselves.
