Practice typing to songs while earning coins and leveling up, or test your speed with general words in a 60-second web mode.

KaraokeType is a game by Phumitat Phummin that lets you practice typing along to songs. It ties typing practice to game progression, with coins to buy items, levels, and a ranking system. You can play in a browser on desktop or mobile.

Type along to songs and build your progress

The game offers a community song library and Normal and Confident modes. The creator says that each completed performance becomes damage against a guild boss, with skills unlocking as you level up. The game page checked for this review shows that ranked play unlocks at level 15.

There is a 60-second speed test mode.

If you want to practice with general words, you can select the 60s Speed Test without logging in. This mode starts the timer from the first character typed, displays typed words in green, and shows the time, WPM, and accuracy percentage on the right.

During the trial, the prompts are short Thai phrases arranged sequentially. The character being typed is highlighted with a box and position guides, making it easy to follow. Those who want to practice in short rounds can start with this mode and then switch to playing along with songs on the main page.

Start playing as Guest

The website allows you to try it out without signing up, but there is a message stating that songs recorded in Guest mode will only be stored in that browser and may be lost when clearing website data. To save songs to your account, you should then sign in.
