Lexicat Chinese is a Mandarin Chinese language learning game by Narongchai Suphiratwanich that takes Leo on an adventure solving vocabulary puzzles. According to the App Store details, the game uses Simplified Chinese characters, Pinyin with tone marks, pronunciation, and Thai translations to assist in combat.

The store page shows Leo facing a slime, with the question asking which word means "four". Each option includes both Chinese characters and pinyin, such as 四 and sì. The paired presentation of the two forms helps illustrate how characters relate to their pronunciation while answering the question.

The developer states that the game tracks proficiency in Meaning, Reading, and Listening separately. Tasks include listening and selecting meanings, matching Hanzi with Pinyin, distinguishing tones, and differentiating visually similar characters, as well as selecting words to complete sentences based on context.

Find the original word and select the topic to practice repeating.

Wordbook is searchable by Chinese characters, Pinyin, or Thai, with pronunciation, meaning, and part of speech, making it useful for reviewing words encountered in quests. The game uses HSK vocabulary levels to organize content, but progress in the app does not constitute a language proficiency certificate.

Lexicat Chinese is available for free download on iPhone and iPad. The free version uses Keys to play quests and includes one Daily Training per day. The Plus version is a one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited Keys, training across all categories, and detailed reports. The developer states that main progress is stored on the device and no learner account needs to be created.
