A Guest opening look at Petal Valley's Closed Beta v0.1.0: receive starter tools, till soil and plant one rice tile, with native gameplay captures.
Petal Valley สวนแสนสุข is a pixel-art farming game by Tanakub Adulyapapargon, whose October 15, 2026 announcement introduced its Closed Beta. This browser session entered as a Guest, walked out of the house, received starter tools and planted the first rice tile in v0.1.0.
From the house to a first rice tile
The fictional character FieldTest began on Monday 1, Spring, Year 1 with 500 in-game gold and 200/200 energy. W moved the character inside the house, and walking down through the doorway led to the farm. Lily's welcome dialogue then supplied a hoe, an empty watering can and 10 rice seeds.
On open ground, pressing E with the hoe selected created one tilled tile and reduced energy to 198/200. Selecting hotbar slot 3 and pressing E again sowed rice: the seed count fell from 10 to 9 and the sowing objective advanced to 1/10. The first image shows the result of that planting input.

Starter tools and controls
The inventory opened through its on-screen button and the I key, showing the hoe, a watering can at 0/20 and rice seeds in the hotbar. The test used WASD for movement, E to use the held item and 3 to select rice seeds, verifying movement, tool selection and interaction with a soil tile.

Beta scope and development background
The Closed Beta announcement describes farming, fishing, mining, animal care, flower breeding, home decoration and crafting. The creator also warns that development is ongoing and some systems may be incomplete. These are creator-described activities; this session ended after planting one rice tile.
The creator described Petal Valley as combining AI with their own coding in the September 12 Alpha Test post. A September 27 post then said the game had been substantially remade after testing and that a teammate had drawn some assets by hand.
The Guest notice says the farm is stored in this browser. The October 15, 2026 test did not check reopening and progress retention, watering, harvesting, tutorial completion, later days, systems outside the opening farm, interaction with other players, account linking or mobile play.
