Starfall Protocol

Starfall Protocol is a 3D browser-based spaceship shooter from code8play. It features selectable campaign levels, an Endless Flight mode for scoring, and a ship upgrade system. It is free to play via itch.io without installation.

The campaign consists of 50 stages divided into five areas, with a boss appearing every ten stages. The stage selection screen indicates that previous stages must be cleared to unlock the next one. The first stage, Earth · Battlefield, requires destroying ten targets.

On the computer, use W and S to adjust speed, aim with the mouse, left-click to shoot, and press Space to boost. Q, E, and right-click activate ship abilities. The flight screen displays hull integrity, heat, boost, and radar levels to monitor during missions.

Upgrade vehicles and fly with friends

Skill points earned from flying can be used to upgrade weapons, hulls, and abilities between rounds. If you want to play for high scores, there is a separate Endless Flight mode from the campaign. The game page states that the online co-op mode allows inviting friends to the same level using a room code.

The game supports both keyboard and mouse controls as well as touch screen input, making it suitable for those who want to try web-based space shooter games. You can choose missions to play or return to upgrade your ship and score again.

Bell Sanrachchakrich shared the game in the group, saying ChatGPT and Blender MCP helped create ship, enemy, and city models. The cover and illustrations come from code8play's official itch.io page.
