Start Drifter Night War

By Teerapong BD

Explore a 3D browser city, encounter street events, interact with locations and switch between first- and third-person views.

Start Drifter Night War is a browser-based 3D city exploration game that begins in a convenience store before moving into street events. Shared for testing on itch.io by Teerapong BD, it supports first- and third-person views with a minimap, city clock and body-condition panel.

The city interrupts the walk

The opening lets players move inside the store and use E to step onto the street. Forward and sideways movement responded to input, while money, health, level and time stayed visible during exploration.

An invasion event appeared as a breaking-news banner with characters entering the area. Health fell to zero and a knockout sequence followed, before play continued at a hospital. This showed an event interrupting exploration rather than the city being only a static backdrop.

The hospital connects to play

After recovery, walking near a character and pressing E opened hospital services. The menu listed recovery at 100, full treatment at 40 and a first-aid kit at 80, all in-game currency. These are character-care options attached to a place in the city.

Pressing O switched from the first-person fists to a view behind the player character. The same room could therefore be viewed with a different sense of the player's position relative to surrounding characters.

A city inside the browser

The itch.io page has a Run game button for browser play. The opening route required neither registration nor a program download, providing direct access to the store, street and hospital.

The opening's appeal is combining exploration, sudden events and location interactions in one city. It suits players who enjoy trying systems and switching viewpoints rather than following a single corridor. Simple visuals and multiple status panels give it the feel of an older city game focused on things to investigate.
