Sprites and 2D art

Arcadia Effector

By GameSlash

Create and adjust 2D particle effects with a visual editor, JSON files and coding assistants; export sprite atlases or PNG sequences.

What it does

Arcadia Effector is a standalone JavaScript and Canvas2D editor for 2D particle effects. Claude Code, Codex or another coding assistant can create or modify an effect’s JSON definition. You can then adjust particles, colors, paths, glow and timing in the visual editor, or work manually without an AI assistant.

How to use it

Start the included Node.js server, or open index.html in browser-only mode. Create or open an effect, review its animation and adjust the settings. Export a sprite atlas or a ZIP of numbered PNG frames, then connect the frames to your game’s own animation code.

Limits

Browser-only mode stores the effect library in localStorage rather than the filesystem. The editor does not integrate exported effects into your game automatically. Check transparency, frame dimensions and timing after import. External AI assistants may have separate costs. The software is MIT-licensed; verify the rights of any textures you import or reuse.
