Vaultborn
By Teeruth Yangyuen
Create a dungeon, set traps, then switch to challenger mode in a short game where players design their own challenges.
Vaultborn begins as a short game idea featuring levels where players can take on either the role of level creator or challenger. The placement of pathways and traps is thus as integral to the gameplay as finding a way through.
Set traps in your own dungeon.
The level creation screen displays a top-down view of the dungeon, with a parts inventory on the side offering options such as thorn plates, flamethrower vents, and landmines to place. The right panel is used to name the dungeon and view its status before publishing the level.

Go down and view the walkway from the challenger's perspective.
From a first-person perspective, the dark path and torchlight reveal obstacle positions differently than when placing the level. The control bar indicates to use WASD to move, Space to jump, F to interact, Shift to dodge, and Ctrl to crouch.

The creator stated in the post that the game still has bugs and is adding new trap types, while also seeking feedback from those who try it out. It's suitable for people who want to design short levels and test how much challenge the traps and pathways they've placed can create.
