A later formation with two Kitsune merge levels and a repositioned Sakura

Angelic Defense

By Gabby Studio

Summon and merge Kitsunes, reposition defenders and activate Sakura’s skill in Gabby Studio’s anime-styled path-defence game.

Enemies leave a demon gate and follow a winding road, while Sakura and the fox familiar Kitsune defend its edges. Gabby Studio’s Angelic Defense pairs automatic combat with decisions about where to spend stage gold: summon another helper, or merge matching familiars into a single upgraded-looking unit.

Reinforce the road as enemies advance

The opening tutorial starts with a Kitsune placed on grass beside the path. Starting the wave sends enemies along the road, while friendly units attack with visible effects and enemy health bars. Defeated enemies return stage gold, supplying resources for reinforcements during the fight.

Summoning prices increase rather than staying flat. The tutorial shows Kitsune costs of 70, then 105 and 140 gold. Adding a unit therefore means considering both the remaining budget and the road that still needs defending.

Matching units offer more than extra bodies

The merge tutorial asks players to drag one Kitsune onto an identical familiar. Two sprites become one multi-tailed fox, which continues fighting on the same battlefield. The change is visible on the board rather than confined to a stat menu.

Summoning and merging put unit count and development side by side. Enemy positions, defenders and the base-health counter remain on the same screen, making the battle readable without repeatedly opening separate panels.

Reposition the defence and time a skill

Defenders do not have to remain in their initial positions. Kitsune can move to an available grass tile, while Sakura can relocate to a permitted position on the road. Summoning another familiar later places a merged Kitsune and a new one in the same formation, allowing further adjustments while enemies advance.

Sakura also has a skill gauge. Once the game indicates that it is ready, tapping her card activates “ห่าธนูพันกลีบ”, accompanied by petal effects across the field. That adds a deliberate intervention to the automatic attacks rather than making the battle solely a matter of speeding it up and watching.

A compact, readable battlefield

The dirt road stands out against grass, cherry blossoms and stone lanterns. Anime character portraits sit beside the battlefield, and a speed control adjusts the pace of play.

The appeal is making defensive decisions while combat continues, rather than manually steering every attack. It suits players who enjoy path defence and want summoning and merging to have an immediate visible presence on the board.
