Xogot adds an AI coding agent to Godot game creation on iPhone and iPad
By GameSlash
Xogot's November 3 update brings AI coding, scene edits and debugging into its mobile Godot editor, with user-configured AI providers and background tasks.
Xogot introduced a built-in AI coding agent for its Godot-based game editor on November 3, 2026. The new assistant works directly inside projects on iPhone and iPad, helping creators write scripts, troubleshoot errors, adjust scenes and iterate on a playable game. This is a newly announced editor feature, not a claim that an AI can create a finished game without human direction.

What has changed inside Xogot
Before this announcement Xogot already let developers edit Godot projects on Apple devices. The new agent can now carry out code-editing and project tasks from within the editor. Example prompts include investigating why an enemy cannot detect the player, adding touch controls, and splitting a large scene into reusable scenes. Users may attach files, screenshots or selected project state to the conversation, and control the agent's permission level.

Use your own model provider and keep track of background work
Xogot does not supply an AI server as part of the announcement. Creators configure a supported provider or a locally hosted model through AI Settings; the team names Claude, ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot among the available account-based routes. Provider subscriptions, API fees and access conditions may apply, so this should not be described as unlimited free AI generation.

The iOS agent can continue a task while the creator switches apps, using Live Activities to show progress and requests for input. The developer says durable snapshots can help resume work if iOS terminates a background session; this does not guarantee uninterrupted execution. Xogot also describes Skills, network-accessible MCP integrations and access to project debugging and modeling functions.
Why game creators should pay attention
For a solo creator, this is a practical change to the workflow rather than a prompt-to-finished-game promise: the same editor can display a scene, accept a request to change its code and expose its running state for follow-up inspection. The developer's official post is dated November 3, 2026; availability is stated for iPhone, iPad and Mac, with the mobile AI coding assistant tied to the Xogot Pro app release.
