The Undercut shows 0.6.0 rain simulation, new racing physics and staff plans

By GameSlash

A 21 October developer update previews local rain, wet tyres, a new Kinematic V1 physics engine, red flags and staff management. Version 0.6.0 is still in development.

On 21 October 2026, solo developer Staz published the first progress report for version 0.6.0 of The Undercut: Racing Manager. This is a preview of features under development, not a live patch: the studio currently estimates a release between the second half of November and mid-December 2026.

Rain that changes the actual race

The announced weather system simulates moving rain clouds, showers that affect only one sector, and a racing line that dries more quickly than the edges. Intermediate and full-wet tyres will join the compounds. In a wet session, going off-line to pass could mean losing grip.

Kinematic V1, race stoppages and deeper career management

The developer says a replacement physics engine called Kinematic V1 should reduce unrealistic car overlap, improve collisions and allow multi-car incidents. Red flags are planned to halt sessions when heavy rain or blocked tracks make racing unsafe. Circuit surroundings also gain procedural farms, roads, grandstands and paddock structures.

Version 0.6.0 is also expected to add staff management connected to facilities, though the developer has not yet published all the details.
