Voxel Tools for Godot

By Zylann

Create blocky or smooth editable voxel terrain in Godot, including overhangs and LOD for sandbox-style worlds.

repo

Start: Choose a Module build with its matching editor/export templates, or the newer, less-tested GDExtension for official Godot 4.4.1+.

Try: Use VoxelTerrain with a generator and VoxelMesherBlocky, or VoxelLodTerrain with VoxelMesherTransvoxel for smooth terrain. Add a VoxelViewer under Camera3D to generate terrain around the player.

Limits: Module exports need templates containing the module; GDExtension uses regular templates for supported builds. VoxelTerrain multiplayer is experimental, while VoxelLodTerrain networking is not supported. This is a lower-level terrain toolkit, not a complete sandbox game.
