Pieter Levels has launched a browser version of the 2002 Battlefield 1942 demo with online co-op, saying Claude Code helped convert the game. The project page describes it as an unofficial fan project unaffiliated with EA or DICE.

Levels says the work began with the original demo executable. His account describes AI-assisted conversion from x86 instructions to C, compilation to WebAssembly and reimplementation of graphics using WebGL 2, alongside a multiplayer networking layer.

The developer estimates the work produced around 100,000 lines of C and used about one million output tokens. Those figures are Levels' claims, not independently verified measurements.

The project page lists desktop Chrome or Edge 137 or newer as requirements and calls the project non-commercial preservation. That description is the developer's and does not establish endorsement by the game's owners.
