Heaven Breaker
By Assadarng Aud Yarin
A hands-on opening test of this Wuxia survival game, covering Lin Fei, Bai Shuang, level-up choices and run results with original gameplay screenshots.
Heaven Breaker is a Wuxia-themed browser survival game. Characters cast their equipped techniques automatically while the player dodges, collects qi and chooses upgrades on leveling up. GameSlash tested two opening attempts on desktop on 4 November 2026, using Lin Fei and Bai Shuang. The latter reached level seven during the first minute on the in-game timer.

Dodge first, then collect qi
Desktop controls use WASD or arrow keys to move, Space or Shift for the lightness skill, and Esc to open Meditating. We tested WASD movement, Space and Esc. Enemies gradually surround the character while equipped attacks fire automatically, so collecting dropped qi requires finding a route back through the field rather than walking directly into the crowd.
Our first attempt used Lin Fei, whose starting technique is Flame Qi. At level two we chose Tiger Strength Manual, described by the upgrade screen as adding 10% technique power. That attempt ended after 49 seconds at level two, with 12 enemies slain and five Merit earned. The failed run let us inspect the results screen and the reward available for later progression.

Add a technique or improve an existing one
Bai Shuang starts with Water Formation, which produces a formation around her. Her selection card lists +25% water power, +10% technique reach and -10% speed. We selected Bamboo Leaf Blades at level two, added Chain Thunder at level three, then added Flame Qi and upgraded Chain Thunder to level two in subsequent choices.

The level-up panel separates Technique, Manual and Utility choices and shows elemental labels such as Water→Wood. These hints help explain how a new option relates to the existing build. During play, we chose between adding an attack and improving one already equipped, rather than receiving only the same kind of numerical bonus.
The Bai Shuang attempt reached level seven at 1:00, with 134 enemies slain and 88/100 health remaining. After selecting Thousand Shadows Manual at level six, we stopped at the level-seven choice screen. This is an unfinished attempt, not a completed-run result. We did not defeat a master or clear a Tribulation during this review.
Merit and the limits of this test
The five Merit from the first attempt remained on returning to the main menu. Open Meridians offers stat upgrades using Merit such as vitality, speed and qi collection, but we could not yet afford one. Spirit Sense, for example, cost 25 Merit. We read this menu and Sect Ranks without buying an upgrade or testing Fusion Arts.
The opening suits players who enjoy avoiding crowds while assembling a build. Frequent level-up choices can change the attacks available quickly. Technique descriptions and menus were in English during this test. The game uses preset characters; we found no player-name field in the menus inspected.
In a post dated 4 November 2026, creator Assadarng Aud Yarin says Claude Code and Codex helped with coding, systems design and testing, PixelLab supplied characters, enemies and skill icons, and Suno supplied music and sound. The creator also describes a JavaScript and Canvas 2D implementation. These tool details are attributed to that creator account.
We entered the browser game without encountering a login or installation step. The creator describes a portrait-mobile focus and PWA support for offline play, but this test used a desktop browser only. Touch controls, installation and offline play were not tested.
