Journey toward immortality through automatic combat. Choose and fuse techniques, use finishing moves and manage elixirs between stages.
Meknoi: The Hidden Land of Ten Thousand Arts is a cultivation game where the character travels and attacks automatically. Players choose skills when leveling up, use ultimate moves, and decide whether to recover or strengthen the character along the way. This review covers the first stage, which we have not yet completed.
Let them fight, then choose compatible skills.
Combat allows characters to progress through enemies group by group without repeatedly pressing basic attacks. The screen displays indicators for enemy groups, levels, and acquired skills to track progress. Upon reaching enlightenment at a new level, the game pauses to let the player choose from offered skills before continuing the journey.

Skills have distinct effects, such as periodic health regeneration, increased attack speed, or additional damage based on the number of attacks. The description specifies the conditions for each effect, allowing players to infer how a speed-increasing skill would interact with an attack that triggers after a certain number of hits. The selection screen contains substantial text, making it suitable for those who prefer to read skill details before deciding, rather than proceeding immediately.

Fuse skills when the full recipe is complete.
With Moon-Sweeping Blade and Row-Piercing Sword, an option appears to fuse them into Sweeping Pierce, described as attacking the whole enemy group. The skills screen marks the original moves as fused. Earlier choices therefore affect the options available later in the same run.
Another detail to consider is the skill line and bonus when the required amount is accumulated. The fusion options found are listed as independent skills and do not count toward the skill line bonus, so both the attack effect and the skill line conditions should be read before selecting.
Time to use ultimate moves and recover.
Walking and basic attacks are automatic, but players can press Q for an ultimate move and H to use medicine. Ultimates have a distinct effect screen, while medicine is limited, so monitoring health still matters. A separate mode automatically chooses skills and uses ultimates, but it is locked at the start.
The midway tavern allows you to choose actions before continuing your journey; the recovery option genuinely restores health, making it an ideal pause after battling multiple groups. The bamboo forest scene arranges characters and enemies in rows, making combat positions easy to see, while build configuration data is available on the options screen and the skill bar at the bottom.

This game is suitable for those who enjoy seeing characters gradually become stronger through selecting compatible moves, and who also wish to have some control over resource usage. Peter Phadungkit's post states that development is still ongoing and the system will be adjusted further, so it is advisable to follow updates on the test version.
