PicoBerry adds model segmentation and adjustable animation for asset workflows

By GameSlash

The October 31 update preserves geometry during rigging and adds part-level editing, with limits for animated inputs and animal motions.

PicoBerry's October 31, 2026 update adds Segmentation and PB Animation. The new rigging engine preserves a model's geometry, UVs and textures, while segmentation lets creators work on individual parts before moving assets into a game.

Parts can be named, moved, rotated, scaled and exported separately. PB Animation rigs humanoids and quadrupeds, although animal motions are not yet available. Motion controls adjust limbs, the waist and head, playback speed and the clip range while a preview runs.

The segmentation manual excludes animated models and says processing uses Tripo, including when the source came from another engine. Creators should check those input and service conditions before sending an asset, rather than assume every model follows the same editing path.
