System Breaker: Black Eclipse

By Chidsanupong Champakhom

Command mythological Followers in turn-based battles and choose exploration routes through an eclipsed Bangkok, where victory still costs the team resources.

Gumiho and Lycaon face enemies on a Bangkok street, but attack power is only part of the fight. Turn order, available mana and elemental relationships all matter. Chidsanupong Champakhom's System Breaker: Black Eclipse places mythological allies in a turn-based RPG beneath a black eclipse, alternating story scenes with team management and route exploration.

Choose the orders before starting the round

Manual mode separates choosing an attack, selecting its target and confirming the order from starting the round. That gives the battlefield a planning phase before both sides act. Portraits along the left show turn order, while health, mana and status indicators sit beside the characters.

At the opening of combat, Gumiho has 10 mana while Fox Fire costs 40, leaving the basic attack a practical role before the skill becomes available. Adding another Follower introduces more characters and statuses to track. Effects and the elemental-advantage message help explain what happened during the round.

Auto advances the rounds, but the field still matters

The built-in automatic mode lets battle orders resolve continuously when following the team's performance is preferable to selecting every attack. Automatic Breaker use has its own separate checkbox; battle auto mode and automatic Breaker activation are not the same setting.

The encounter reached through a route choice brings an archer and a warrior into the opposing formation. A Fox Fire banner, cooldown indicators and a defense-down status appear during combat. Reading how the team interacts with its opponents is more informative than watching only which health bar falls fastest.

One victory still leaves another route to choose

Outside combat, an exploration board connects selectable nodes. Players choose their own path with information revealed one layer ahead. Different symbols turn the next step into a decision about another fight or an event, while Follower health, coins and Will Power remain visible on the map.

One encounter's victory awards 50 coins and 10 Will Power, but Gumiho and Lycaon also lose health. The result screen separates the reward from the cost to the team. Returning to the board with 100 coins and 30/100 Will Power does not mean every resource has been restored.

Mythology on city streets, one round at a time

Pixel characters against a purple-lit urban street give the game a different atmosphere from an RPG set entirely in castles and forests. Dialogue introduces the eclipse and Woked before combat, while returning to route selection connects each fight to the resources carried onward.

System Breaker suits players who enjoy story scenes, mythological party members and seeing orders resolve in turns rather than constant free-roaming action. Mana, status effects and post-battle results deserve attention: winning a fight is only one part of keeping the team ready for the route ahead.
